What we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
When you create a Byytes account, we collect the information needed to provision and bill for your hosting plan: your name, email address, billing details, and account preferences. If you contact support, we keep a record of that conversation to help resolve your issue and future ones.
We use account information to operate your hosting plan, process billing, respond to support requests, and send service-related communications, like maintenance notices or renewal confirmations. We don't sell your personal information to third parties.
The websites, files, databases, and email you host on your Byytes plan belong to you. We don't access or inspect the content of what you host except as needed to operate the service, troubleshoot an issue you've reported, or respond to a valid legal request.
We share information only where necessary to run the service: with payment processors to handle billing, and with infrastructure providers that support our hosting platform. Any such provider is bound to use your information only for the purpose we've engaged them for.
We use encryption in transit for account logins and control panel access, and apply access controls to limit who at Byytes can view account or hosted data. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat account and infrastructure security as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time setup.
We retain account information for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward to satisfy billing, legal, or fraud-prevention obligations. Hosted content is removed from our systems following account cancellation, after the retention window described in your plan's cancellation terms.
You can review and update most of your account information directly from your account panel. You can request a copy of your account data, or ask us to delete it once your account is closed, by contacting us at the email below.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in to your account panel and to remember basic preferences, like your billing display currency. We don't use cookies for third-party advertising.
Byytes services are intended for use by businesses and individuals capable of entering a hosting agreement, and aren't directed at children.
If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we'll notify you by email before it takes effect.
